Dreams Of A Holiday

From the bed sprung the hope of your holiday cheer
Eyes wide open and so full of your gleeful little heart
Bouncing down the hallway for all the world to  hear
The joy of your holidays that I would lovingly take part

Sparkles from ornaments dangling from limbs with care
Greeting you merrily as you dance openly among the glow
Presents huddled together for the happiness we now share
Bringing dreams wrapped in the tenderness we now know

Stockings filled with little treasures hanging above the fire
A cresche with porcelains guiding us to the scene of the birth
Tiny sprigs of mistletoe tempting us toward our hidden desire
Teasingly swaying above the mantle of the fireplace's girth

Music of the holidays now massaging the air against our ears
Harmonizing to the beat of hearts as we settle down on the floor
Encircling of our arms in a sweet holiday kiss to ease our fears
Eyes locked in tender gaze as we pledge our hearts once more

Mark Christopher

Mark my friend, this is absolutely magical, it really and truly is. I love Christmas, from Midnight Mass through to Boxing day. Even when I have to work, it really is a wonderful holiday. As this is an absolutely fantastic beautiful poem. Truly beautiful, and full of loving joy. Excellant work from you, a real triumph.

Mark...as always your imagery paints for us a perfect and colorful portrait of the vision your poetic eyes and heart see.
You have penned a heartwarming scene of the kind of Christmas we all dream of.
With all the beauty tied up in bow of your emotions.

Karilea-Thank you so much.  I am glad that you found it beautiful.

Kathleen-Glad to help, thank you.

Marsha-Thank you very much my president.  I know that I can always count on you for making even the simplest of my works sound special.

SEA-A talent for touching?  Who me?   Thank you my friend.  I take it that the tears were ones of joy knowing that you and your hubby will probably have one just like this.

JM-Got to even you???????? WOW.......I am honored my friend.  After all, I know just how much of a scrooge you are.....LOL.  Yeah right, who acts more like a kid than I do?  Thank you sweetness...you know I always appreciate your BIASED opinions.

LL-Thank you my friend and I am sorry if I am causing you to run through the tissues so fast.  Maybe I should consider buying stock in them.  Hugs to you.

Coco-Why thank you my friend and for you to share one of my works means the world to me.

Elizabeth-I am glad that you could see it and I am hoping myself to have one like this one day. Thank you dearly.

Marge-Don't you think the poor sprig would wilt hanging over all that heat?  Thank you my sweet friend and hugs and KISSES to you. Who the heck needs mistletoe?

Martie-I have a new type I just came up with.  Know of anyone willing to help me to test it out?     Thank you so very much my dear friend.

Mark my friend, I simply had to revist this, it is sooooooo superb. A real vision of Christmas love and joy, makes me wish I was going to be spending the day like this. Still maybe the Christmas fairy will grant my little wish, she knows what it is, along with my man of course.
This really is a truly delightful write from you, utterly wonderful. And the MBOOPAS will love it too.

Holly-Thank you so very much my friend and I too wish for you a wonderful holiday filled with all the love and happiness that you so much deserve.  I am glad that you liked the scene I painted and I hope that your little butterfly wings find themselves dancing to a scene that please them as much as my dream would please me.

Dee-If you have one like this then just invite me to watch and I promise not to wake you.   Thank you dearly.

Snowpants-And I hope that you DO have a Christmas morning like this as well my friend.  Don't give up hope yet, Santa may fill your stocking with just such a moment.  Thank you my friend.

Tracie-Yes, it would be nice if everyone could have a beautiful holiday and I for one wish that for all the world.  Just one day of nothing of happiness and love.  Maybe it could start a trend.  Thank you dearly.

Marsha-Well if you want your Christmas wish, don't you have to write St. Nick for that?  Don't forget to leave out the milk and cookies either.  Thank you very much for the revisit.

ethome-My friend, as long as you are willing to read them then I will keep writing them.  Thank you kind sir for your wonderful replies always.

KoKo-No such thing as late and thank you so much for you kindness.  I am glad that you liked it.

Charisma-Thank you so much my sweet friend.  Your hugs and sweet words are always welcomed.

Trisha-Thank you sweet lil sis and of course I remember you. How could I forget when Jan does nothing but tell me all of your little secrets all the time.(Well, let me see her explain that one.LOL)  Your words and your visits are like a warm glow of sisterly love to me and they always bring a smile to my face.  I wish for you the wonderment and love of the holidays as well.  Hugs and a kiss under the Mistletoe for sure for you.

rosepetals25-Thank you my friend and may you find yourself entwined on the floor as well.

Lisad-Well my sister, is there any other way to do it?  If there is don't spoil my visions and hopes okay?  Thank you kindly lil one.  You know I love ya.

A Whisper's Caress-Just as wonderful as your presence here my friend.  Thank you dearly.
