All I Want For Christmas

I don't want a thing this Christmas day
Don't buy me a gift, I mean what I say
Please don't give me flowers or sweets
Don't offer me perfume or pricey treats
The present I really want you can't buy
All I want is a star plucked out of the sky

It's not any old star it's one special one
The star that is our very own loves' son
It watched as we met and then we kissed
I'm sure that up above she won't be missed
And I want her to keep our love strong
For us to have her can't be all that wrong

She witnessed our love as it came to be
And I'd so like to keep her close by me
It's not a huge request, she's not a big star
To reach her you won't need to go very far
Just reach your hand up over your head
Then you can place her right over my bed

Then I'll have her light shining bright
To remind me to keep our love alight
She can watch over me while I sleep
Those nights fears away she'll keep
In the morning I'd put her safely away
Only for use while the night holds sway

That's my Christmas wish is it too much?
It's all I want to have that star to touch
But if I can't have it I will understand
As long as I can hold love here in my hand
I'll not ask for anything else except this
Just give me your special Christmas kiss

Marsha

Kissed Stars....what more could one ask for...if I can grant your wish, you'll have it...On Christmas Eve...and on the morn...[we special people have a way with granting wishes...]

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Kari, thank you love, and you know I won't waste the wish, I really won't.   (I've got a day off today, but this thing that calls itself a 'puter crashed last night, and I've been trying to get it up and running forever.)
Take care love

BDC, thank you truly, and you'd be truly welcome, I do adore chocolate, and flowers but there's something about a star that I can't resist.
Take care
