I steal this moment away from my life
To borrow words I've been trying to say
I wasn't listening while I was doing
The things I've been doing all day

Time for a moment, time for a pause
When I try to formulate all that's gone wrong
Time for a time to take the time
To calculate all that's been in my mind

But what does this mean? I don't know
What I am trying to try
What do I do when I take the time
And I find the brakes are hard to find?

No way to stop, no time to stop anyway
No way to find the time
No words to write the rhyme
No time to find the way

I close my eyes and see nothing
Blankness
All around me, a fog
I search for a sound and hear nothing
Silence
Stiffled within me, a song

Is this the end? Can I move on?
Can I pass the test?
Who, in the end, is marking me?
All I want to do is my best

The tired student, tragic figure
Shackled to her books
Sad she can't step outside of herself
She is blind for she will not look

There is no time
There is no time
It's true: it doesn't exist
But there will be time
If I make the time
If I make the time to live.

Been there, done that.  The greatest truth in school is that it will surely end.

And, yes, you must take the time for yourself.

Pearls! Welcome home!  It's been a little while that we've been missing you, don't you think you stayed away long enough?

Now, little one, please favor us some more...

Hugs,

Karilea

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.
