-Reach- A billion stars reside in infinite space Born, dying, forming; Gods ride the ethereal lights Coming closer to Man, then Running astray, just out of reach. Leaving footprints in the sand And diamond glitter upon trees Water’s depth once touched by Them Yet, they are so out of reach. A blast of light comes raining down Scorching ground and mind; Death upon a midnight star One God has chosen to set free Coming closer, closer to Man. Leaving magic in the breath In the heart of mortality Shadows guide, one man can see Yet, He’s there so out of reach. And we spend a lifetime Reaching Him. Joann Renee' Muszynski 12/07/00 |
