                  I Wonder

I wonder, did you know,
How much I needed you so?

How feeling your touch late at night,
Filled my heart with such delight?

The warmth I felt when you were near,
The love I felt when you were here.
Filled my being with joy and peace,
Gave my soul a sweet release.

I wonder did you know,
How much I needed you so?

I never wanted to let you go,
Although I did, you're gone...So?

How it hurt, How hard it was,
To watch you walk away from us.
But having you here where you didn't belong,
Would have been by far, much more wrong.

I wonder Do you know,
How much I Thought I needed you so?

Welcome Lady Lightning!!!!

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

I looked into the sky for my anthem
The words and music came through
But words and music can never touch the beauty that I've seen
Looking into you

Butterflies...Thank you so much, your words mean alot...

Irish Rose...Thank you for the warm Welcome...

ethome...Your words are much appreciated..But I do have to make a point here......This is not a love in my heart nor my mind..Hence, my last two lines..One I "thought" I needed...
Hope it's ok to make a point here...oops, if not...

Charisma...Thank you for your words...Maybe more, I need much, much work...

JM...Thanks so much..means alot to me to know you took the time to read my simple lines...It was scary, but fun ...Maybe I'll try it again...Who knows?... I didn't think I would actually do it this time..But I had some egging....Again, Thank you...~LL~...Liked the name, huh?

Marge...Thanks for the "hug"..Here's one right back at ya...Hope has sprang forth..It always does...Without it, well, I think we all know.....

Last but certainly not Least...Hey Cowboy, words from you mean so much as you know..Thanks for taking the time to read my work...My words are mere "scribbles" compared to the emotions I feel when I read your work and all the rest of the "Best" here...Thanks for the egging..Don't know if they'll be more but I will always be here to read and reply to all the "wonderful" people that I know are here pouring theirs hearts and souls out for all of us to enjoy...  Thanks again, Cowboy...It matters much....

straightforward and to the point an unpretentious delivery of real -- um... anti-passion...?

I like the ending, how you chose to put that reverse, of "how I thought I needed you.." Very good. Shows how we can overcome, can understand times we've had to let go.

Rebel-Letting go was the easy part, the hard part was staying for ten years.  Thank you very much for your kind welcome.

SEA-Thank you and I promise that you will see more as I am being forced to write these days.LOL  Sorry, but I am a little shy about my poetry but getting more comfortable with the friendly people here.

dragonpoe-The ending is my way of finding a bit of closure.  Thank you very much.
