"Wildhorses"
on the twelve-string
he wailed into my heart
He looked surprised
when I joined in...
to sing harmonic part.

He sang and listened
both
at once
eyes narrow
staring
too intense...
to my surpise
I hit the notes
he closed his eyes,
nodded assent.

Knee-to-knee
our feet in tap,
our shoulder
tandem, in a sway...
Side-by-side
I sang, enrapt-
he sang to me
with the same gaze...

No one else
was present there
The crowd left -
fade to black...
Tonight I
heard the song again,
each note
a journey, back.

As before,
the lights grew dim,
I bask in
just the thought of him..
A memory
of harmony,

a kiss of unexpected wind.

Now I know what I want for Christmas. It would be a poetry book with no-one but you in it and all of your wonderful visions shared only the way that you can.  Do you think that Santa would oblige me in this. Now, of course this one goes in my library and though you have penned so many perfections in here, this one goes beyond perfection to the very pinnacle of the reaches.  Lovely and now it is my turn to tell you instead of PdV.....put this one on the MAIN SITE........!!!!!!!!  I mean it.  By the way, Santa little helper, JM knows the way to my house if he needs to deliver that book of yours.   Hugs and love to you my sweet friend.

What a beautiful poem and a lovely thread this is!  Thank you for this one.

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.
