"Don't lose me", said my love to me
As sun announced the day.
Those words sincere placed in my ear
Caused me to smile and say.....

Just treat me with the kindness of
a woman who believes in love
Allow my love to comfort you
when you need help to get you through...
Accept my love and don't abuse me..
Darling, you will never lose me.

Place you faith here in my hands..
Believe I'm one who understands..
Show me that your love is true..
Make me know why I love you..
When weak, don't hesitate to use me
Sweetheart, you will never lose me.

My love is not the kind of love that disappears as lost
It's yours until the end of time, regardless of the cost.
It has the strength to conquer anything that may arise
and you can know these words are true by looking in my eyes.

So treat our love with dignity..
Don't be afraid to lean on me..
Begin each day with sweet caress..
Believe in me and I will bless
whatever God caused you to choose me..
My sweet love, you'll never lose me.

Oh, this is so wonderfully positive Michael ... absolutely beautiful sentiments. The sincerity behind these words is truly felt. If this be true to life, she is one lucky lady to have your heart!

Best wishes,

Sounds like you have it made my friend.  I just love it when you bring us one of your tender pieces to waltz through.  This was a very tender and loved filled piece and if you have a promise like this from a woman then all you need to make sure of is that she will fry up that spam for you and you have it made.  Wonderful read once again.

Are you telapathic ? you have just plucted the exact way that I feel at the moment out of my head . But you've written it down even better than it was in my head . Great poem, I enjoyed reading it . As usual you get all the meaning and depth of a novel in just one poem .
Thanx a lot .

Very beautiful way to respond to her, Mr. Balladeer. You are a lucky man to have her love. I wish you both all the joy love can provide. This is very romantic and from the heart and I totally enjoyed reading it. Much love to you from me.

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com

I really enjoyed all the different rhyming schemes you used here...and on top of that I think it's a wonderful appeal to the heart of your lover with devotion and deep seated love. Really smooth delivery you are quite the master at this style and evey piece I read is just so smooth and free flowing.... well..... until your next... If your woman doesn't find you handsome then she better find you handy....ethome

May yet one more female-type poet applaud...and wish you the very best with your lady...

and now may I ask...whatever are you going to do to rid yourself of the love-bug?

[Oh my, I don't think I really said that! Help...LJA's taken over my computer!]

Dear Balladeer

May I call you "Mr. Penny"?  "Mr. BAD Penny"??  After all, I've tried to lose you for a long time, and you just keep coming back.  These poor women have no idea what kinda guy you really are!  So, as a public announcement:

WOMEN!!!!  DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS SCALAWAG!!  HE WILL WOO YOU, MAKE YOU FEEL WONDERFUL, GIVE YOU LOTS OF PLEASURE!!  AND WHAT WILL YOU HAVE THEN???  NOTHING BUT A SHABBY MEMORY OF FURTIVE GROPINGS AND MULTIPLE O's.  HOW SHALLOW!"  :0

Incidently, 'Deer - I like your poem.
