As these clouds
Quickly pass by,
I am lost in contemplations
Of the words you’ve offered.
I’m having trouble
Slowing down the deluge
Of emotion flowing from me.
Derived from your charm,
This rapid heartbeat gives me away
And there is no use
In my trying to hide it.
I’ve been writing with the same pen
For quite some time now,
But, since it’s run out,
You’ve replenished what I’ve lost.
I’m sure you don’t fully comprehend
The consequences of the images
You’ve set in my mind.
And time, oh time!
It drains every ounce of strength
I’ve got left,
And my defenses have long since fallen.
You’ve relieved me of my pain
By distracting me with
Visions of endless meadows
In which you’d hold me close
And never let me go.
The lull of your heartbeat
Has drowned out the sound
Of this sad heart breaking.
A newly-arrived inspiration
Has introduced itself
As a mutual friend
Of you and me;
Love has portrayed itself
In a brave new way, as well.
I won’t turn my gaze
From these clouds,
For they,
And the beat of your heart,
Have taken me away
From the pain I have known,
And shown me
A whole new world
Of ecstasy.

Ahhhhh ... How sweet, your a true romantic, fantastic poem, I'm glad you wrote it for that special someone as it describes the way that I feel write now, I just wish I could tell the person that, but I think that soon they'll ruin my life anyway . Great poem, reach for the dreams that you hold dear, and they will surely someday become reality .

Kris...

This is beautiful!! It brought a
few tears to my eyes. Though the whole
poem is simply amazing my favorite lines
are as follows...

"I won’t turn my gaze

This says it all my friend. You got the
love bug

Yeppers, I would say that you have been bitten my friend and you wear it so beautifully. This is definitely my favorite of yours now and I am glad you were talked into posting it. Enjoy the basking and keep us up to date in your progress in this one. It is so nice to see love blossoming in your life. Hugs my dear friend.
