Hi!

It's been a strange weekend.
I can't turn it off (the poems).
If i pick up a pen, they're there.

They're mostly short ones, and i'm
on a bit of a "sensory" kick.

here goes:

-------------first one---------------

A million words
cannot equal a kiss.
Sweet nothings
are whispered by lips.

------------second one---------------

i ache to be near you,
           endear you,
             hear you.

listening

without ears,
to what you say
without saying a word.

i like the shape of this one.
who "gets" that?  "no coke, pepsi!"

-------------third one---------------

My senses make me swim in you.
This is how i know Love.

i see you breathe,
i smell your scent,
i hear your heart,
i feel your warmth.

And it amazes me.
Forgive me if i stare.

-------------fourth one--------------

In a dream
your delicate fingers
traced the line
of my spine
and i shivered...from the heat

Damn.  I hate alarm clocks.

(broke it, too...he he!)

-------------fifth one---------------

i was listening to a Jimi Hendricks
song called "moon turn the tides...
gently, gently away"
and scribbled this:

(who else hears dolphins near the end?)

Sing it, Jimi, sing it.
Dance that guitar.
Just for me, ignore them.
I'm here, i'm listening.
Howl!

The name says "crazy,"
and most days,
i feel like that....tom

"Be yourself, no matter what they say.
woooh!
I'm an alien..."

Enjoyed these very much!  The flavor of each, somewhat similar yet each unique.  Your one that mentions coke, pesi at the end caused me to think about a sensory poem relating that special someone's touch to the titillating bubbles of carbonated soda.  Don't know if I'll write it, though.  It almost seems like you should be the one to do so.  This is the first I've read of yours and I'm so glad I did!

Hi!

VAS, the last two lines of that were commentary!  but geez, they fit!  your idea, your poem, dude.  i was talking about the logo, a bit like yin/yand, but with a stripe in the middle, like the poem.

LL, that's just how i see things.

thanks...tom
