In quiet reflection I sit
As the memories call softly
Echoes from the past
Of happier days I knew

Gone from me now
And with them, you
But not completely
You left a residue

My heart aches for the past
To have again, what cannot be
But looks as well to the future
With a glimmer of hope and eagerness

My thoughts are so jumbled
That up and down are one
Forward and back the same
This world makes no sense

Someday it will be right again
And my heart won’t hurt so much
I hold no regrets
For the time we did have

The road ahead is an unmarked trail
I wish you luck as you travel on it
Mine leads a separate way now
But part of me still goes with you

Fare thee well

K.M.

Even in the darkest night, someone will be there holding a candle for you.

This was fantastic...and something I think
that many can relate to very well...it's a
difficult subject to weave so very
well...you did a great job~

DerKeit~
Oh my ... this is a lovely piece.
Though the paths may take you each in a different direction -
remember the good times always.

Keith~

this is so sad yet written very beautifully
my friend. i remember when we (me and you)
first started posting to one another's
work...we realized we shared something
in common...being in relationships where
we loved the other person very much but
was not the easiest. i am terribly sorry
to see yours has parted   here's hoping
you find all that you deserve. take care.
~amy~

p.s. mine is still going strong, and i
pray it always does
