Fast lane livin'
I gotta see it all,
Even though so much is blurry
Better this than just a crawl,
Those awful traffic jams
Just make me want to bawl,
Fast lane livin'
I hear the highway's call!

Fast lane livin'
No exits in sight,
Then I look at my gas gague
And it says "E" alright,
Oh How do I allow me
To get in such a plight?
Fast lane livin'
No time to see the light!

Fast lane livin'
I hear it's all the rage,
Of our fast paced world
The product of our age,
If I could just go faster
I'd turn me a new page,
Fast lane livin'
Cop please, let me outta this cage!

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!     >>>>>>

This piece has a pace about it that descries the fast life... Nice job, deleeme.. and nice to see you over here in Open...

Sometimes you just have to run out of gas before you slow down, eh??..

David,
I liked the pace and the tongue-in-cheek humor in this poem, but you have characterized many in our society, Speed and greed and God help you if you get in their way. Good read!

Well, this explains alot about a certain poem I read in The Corner Pub. Now I understand why your wife is put out with you. Slow down and watch for DEER who cross on the open road. LOL

david; boy, it made me nervous just reading this...I've never been very attracted to this fast stuff much....just a slow plodder I guess You did a great job here of making it sound crazy and that's what it is! Love, sis

David,

LOL.  Cute poem.  Life seems to find a way to slow us down when we forget to do it ourselves.  Hope you didn't have to walk too far!!
