Swifter Currents

Swifter currents,
Of nature, aren't in humans,
We're dammed by Thought < !signature-->

"...no single sound too rude upon thy slumber shall intrude, Our thoughts, our souls-
O God above! In every deed shall mingle, love."
-Poe

Oh how I can relate to this one!!!

I really have great difficulty with decisions, even some simple ones.  The river only moves swiftly when I really don't care too much or a deadline is thrust upon me.  Heh-heh, like the polls are going to close. ;o}

SEA --Thank you.  Glad you liked

Tony--thanks for your kind comments.

VAS--glad you enjoyed

Kaile--Sorry for taking so long to respond, just basically saying because we as humans are disposed to thought--basically bound to it, were dammed by it--excessed in it too much often... birds and  dolphins  etc, have swifter currents because they don't (well they seem not to) think and can flow freely and peacefully...we think too much sometimes and we make things too complex, and push to hard for progress and lose touch with natural flow and peace often, so aren't as swift...
Hope that makes sense!
thank you for your comments...

take care,
Poeminister

I agree with your mindset in this one and it seems that the harder we try to NOT THINK of something that has captured our minds the more time we spend on it.  At least I know I do.  Wonderfully expressed and presented.

A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses.
