Hope. The blizzards and the trenches Cold and scared huddled in a trance Hope, is the morning sun The sound of the cock crowing A young soldier puts down his gun Hope, is life worth living A dinner table set for five Each and everyday a mother has to survive Knowing not if that one empty seat Will one day be filled again Hope, is her wish coming true To see her child come home alive Hope, is her thanking the one above Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |
