She Was

She was a lonely soul, for she wouldn't let love enter in
She had tried once long ago but she hadn't felt it stir within
She thought she could receive without sending love out
So now the icy winds of loneliness keep her ever without
She was a cold and lonely heart, a cold and sad heart
She wouldn't welcome love and now she just stood apart

She was a frozen soul, for she hadn't listened to loves' call
She might have done once, but she hadn't heard it after all
She thought she would just test it not giving it a chance
So now she was alone, she had no partner for loves' dance
She was a frozen solid heart, an unhappy and empty heart
She hadn't heard love and now she was left to be apart

She was a lost soul, for she hadn't taken loves true prize
She had picked it up once, but then hadn't used loves eyes
She thought it was something she could leave and ignore
So now she was lost, she wouldn't find true love not anymore
She was a desolated heart, a bereft and desserted heart
She couldn't accept loves gift and now she was falling apart

She was a happy soul, for she joyfully let love enter in
She tried to live her life in beauty and held true love within
So now love surrounded her and kept her warm and free
She knew that loves heart would open her eyes to let her see
She was an ever-loving heart, a generously warm heart
She had welcomed love in, it lived and grew there  in her heart

She was a delighted soul for when love speaks she hears
She heard love calling and answered it saying I'm all ears
So now she and love sang in joyous harmony loves song
She was so happy to be singing loves song loud and long
She was a loving heart, a heart that gave before it ever took
She listened and felt love start after just one little look

Marsha-Very lovely piece, so uplifting to know a love was let in.  I wasn't sure where at first this one was going, glad to know it had a happy ending.  Thank you for sharing it with us.

Tony, thank you, it's such I simple phrase but I do mean it truly.

Prinny True, love I'm trying, honestly I'm trying, but if you weren't quite so picky I could've had you fixed up by now. I've offered you Physiotherapist, Pharmacist, Radiologist, Haematologist. Mmm how about Bio Chemist, or Microbiologist, either of those suit? (Admittedly the Bio Chem is a little strange and the Micro, is very strange)
Seriously thank you kindly

Circe, thank you muchly love, did you like your tribute, I hope you did.
Take care
