Between the Lines

Stranded

I plan to place upon the green
  memory strands of you.
Each bead a perfect pearl of thought,
  each string connecting two.
On tip of boughs, you're lighted up
  by sparkles, softened white.
Standing there, together we
  to dance in shadow's night.

I often think about this day,
  peacefully I stand,
Waiting for the distant call
  a thread together strand...
One that holds the heart of me
  next to the heart of you.
Polished gold the two of us,
  untarnished, holding true.

That night we'll reign, and feast upon
  a banquet fit for kings.
Then myst upon each other,
  whisper breaths to each will sing,
Of silken ties and satin lace
  desires, sheer in thought,
Viewing sparkles, reflections of
  the presence each has brought.

Upon each strand will place the words
  as ornaments to share.
Each one a gift of poetry
  in time of memory, there.
And as I glance, that special eve
  within my heart will grow
more loving thoughts, of you and I
  of secrets to bestow.

A picture perfect holiday
  even if alone,
Because the warmth you give to me
  will carry on in stone
Engraved upon, forever mine,
  your words "till next we meet"
When someday becomes everyday
  and life shall be complete.
