You looked at her with a smile
and a gleam in your eyes
said "hello" with a purpose
you didn't try to disguise

So happy making conversation
flirting as you please
talking and laughing
all with such ease

You'd never know you're married
that your left hand wears a ring of gold
coming on to this woman
so freely ~ so bold

I couldn't tell you loved me
it seemed you didn't care
flirting with this woman
with me standing right there.

Uh-oh...

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Circe, this is a great poem, and have I been there, but from the other side of the fence. My ex was one of the most jealous person I have ever met. Well you know what I'm like Circe, naturally bubbly, he very nearly killed my spirit, not a pleasant thing to live through, but I did, and now it's just a bad memory. Love this one Circe, I really do, fabulous writing from you.
Take care

Unfortunately there are far too many of my gender that act in just that manner.

This better not be a true write about you or that man is nuts, more than nuts, he would have to be totally insane not to realize the treasure that he has in you.  That is how I am led to believe that it is not about you.  No man with an ounce of common sense would be that utterly stupid.  You my friend are a treasure beyond measure.

Sunshine~ yep......

Victoria~ hell no.....I'd tell her to leave, he's my husband!

Startime~thank you for the kind words

BDC~ well, stay away from him......yikes!

Thanks Mushy

Interloper~ thanks for that.

Mark~ is it any wonder I think you are the sweetest?! This did happen.......yesterday....I may have taken poetic licence with it, but my husband found the lady at the checkout counter at the grocery store fasinating, and flirted with her infront of me...it hurt! He is making strides to apologize to me....I was very cool about it and let him know he hurt my feelings with his behavior.....(I am so pleased with myself for not freaking out) Thank you for caring.....I needed that this morning! Hugs sweetie

Well all I can say is that if he found her more captivating than you then she must have been the goddess of all the angels in heaven and I am not sure that would be enough for me to draw my eyes from you.  You let him know that this cowboy would be more than happy to show his adoration of your beauty that I see and if he needs to borrow my eyes to see it then consider it done.
