A Genuine Rose

Somewhere in heaven
You sit in a rose garden
Your thoughts are on the earth below
The children you love so dearly full of sorrow
A wonderful man left alone
Still not believing you are gone

You were a rose of love
And every smile you gave
Was a genuine smile of comfort
I came along into your life
And knew you only a short while
The memory I have will last more than a mile

In pain you were still beautiful
Giving of yourself till the very end
Affection with boundless love
And cheerfulness only a rose
In full bloom could give

You have left in your children
A lifetime of memories to open
When sadness comes by and sorrow abounds
When they feel your warmth and grace
The sadness dissipates into joy
They feel you, they hear you

On that sad day on the 4th of December
Your beauty and love was taken by cancer
I felt at a loss trying to comfort
Your children and your sweetheart
The strength I gathered came from you
From the privilege to have known you
And become part of your family

May your wait in heaven
Be joyful with the angels
Your mother, sister and father you so love
And, may the family you left on earth
Keep remembering your sweetness
And your genuine character
As the most beautiful rose
To have ever entered their hearts

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

DJ~

this is beautiful my friend! one of the
most touching and amazing tributes i've
read in a while...seems a lot of amazing
tributes are being posted these days in
this walls though. i just sit in awe. the
obvious love and richness this woman
possessed comes pouring out through your
beautiful words. she was rich in the love
she gave and recieved, and you have
portrayed that with your usual grace and
style.

thanks for sharing her with all of us and
take care.

How very special she must have been for you to have penned a beauty such as this.  Wonderfully written and I am sure cherished by all that knew her.
