I hear angels in the rain
Just a call I can't explain
Memories always worth the time when I'm alone.

Dare I forget so easily
What Cupid's arrows did for me
Though I loved them then they still linger now.

Walking in the heat and wet
I can't forget with no regrets
Angels in the rain
Between the drops they call my name
I see them clearly now.

So I keep on my peaceful way
After all I couldn't stay
And though I've made mistakes I weep divine.

Walking in the heat and wet
I can't forget with no regrets
Angels in the rain
Between the drops they call my name
I see them clearly now

Oh ethome...this is such a perfect song...Dare I forget so easily
What Cupid's arrows did for me
Though I loved them then they still linger now...this is so evocative...the love the pain the memories..

angels in the rain?
oh...I can hear them too...
the rhythm of their holy hearts
tapping life upon my roof.

A gust of wind
is angel's wing...
I feel the brush
of feathered touch...
yes, tonight,
the angel's sing to me--
I think I am in love.

Thank you, ethome, for the lovely inspiration...(hope ya didn't mind that...)
hugs to you, I do understand.

Ethome, Sir...as I peeked in to read, the sad loveliness of this piece was so ethereal, I think I spied rainbows in the raindrops 'round the crowns on the angels heads...

and now I think I shall be happy all of this lovely Sunday...

and this is a keeper for my library...

Got to agree with the others:

"Dare I forget so easily
What Cupid's arrows did for me
Though I loved them then they still linger now."

This stanza positively jumps off the screen and pricks you anew.

Fine poetry

Prinny True, you hooked me in with the promise of angels, and the fact that it's you of course. And love you delivered, this is delightful, angelic and truly utterly wonderful. I love it, as always, a marvellous piece from you, another triumph. Really well done.

I enjoyed this pome vary much and I can relate. I loved that you said no regrets. It can be sad when a relationships do not work out, but I think that we learn from them and should not regret. I also know how past loves can linger, the good and the bad. This is one of my fav pomes that i found so far.

How does a cowboy fall in love with a poem?  Well when it causes him to read it over and over and then be left with a complete warmness deep in his every being...that is how and this one did just that.  I do expect to see this one on the main site my friend.  Your quill is doing more than mere wonders these days and I want to know your secret to finding such captivating lines.  I promise not to over abuse it.
