The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2000-12-02 10:29 PM

A night of cold, thoughtless wind
and I feel it bite into me
through the closed window,
through the wooden door,
A night of loneliness
of absence,
of love denied
although I tried..

A night to write alone
and drink alone
through pictures gazed at
longingly,
words remembered, sharpened wounds
the day you said goodbye.
I am simply alone
and lonely.

That's sometimes how it happens...I've felt simply lonely myself. Wish that wasn't how things went.

Sandra...this is so sad, because I know...and funny, I've got a house full of people and still feel that way...

HUGS to you, and know that in a southern city, someone just mixed a drink, and lit a candle and is thinking of YOU. Cheers, m'friend.

Cat, keep writing...for someday your poems will sing, and we will all celebrate with you...

Pain is a reminder from our hearts that we are still alive. Find peace within and you will shine without.

My friend, I know how it is to feel alone and you have penned it with a passion but I too know that you will find a song in your life that is filled with the joy and laughter of all love's beauty.  Time is only waiting for that one special man that is worthy of your heart.  Hugs to you my friend.

A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses.
