In Search of Destiny
(already posted somewhere I think)

I can see the path turning,
though beyond is hidden
by a cliff of delicate fern,
with plume and grace
they reach in knowing
and peek with curling greenness
around the bend and nod,
ah, so that is the way.
And what does it matter
to this purpose which is now
just this dappling of sun
and the damp delicious earth?

Oh, but this fleeting butterfly life
feels whispers,
begging delicate urgent go,
find the music to the dance
then dance for love dance,
this blossoming has numbers
and idle wings cannot fly.

Take these words and all this paper,
these printed exclamations of feeling,
this intelligent question,
this tale of light and laughter,
all these marvelous and exploding tears
and build a tree you see,
to jump from
and see around and over this tedious trail,
to glaze the surface of this day
with delicious and glorious gleaning.

Return to midnight and stars slow circling
and release your full blooming,
for sure   each small movement
is a changing thing that alters,
if only the leaf you cling to,
and dawn will seep into the dark valley
with the reverent and worthy color of hope

Martie~
Now, just how pretty is this thought???

'each small movement
is a changing thing that alters,
if only the leaf you cling to'

I don't think I've seen this little gem before -
So YOU ... and that's a treat for ME !

Well...it HAD to happen sooner or later...
even the most esteemed poets make a mistake now and then ..I was reading this gift of amazing imagery...I was giddy from dancing with butterflies ...
I was walking in that lush poetic mind of yours
when I found a typo ....
I will correct it for you ...

>Take these words and all this paper,
these printed exclamations of feeling,
this intelligent question,
this tale of light and laughter,
all these marvelous and exploding tears
and SEND THEM TO PUBLSHERS!!!!!!!

sorry love....couldnt resist!!!
I told ya I was giddy ...must be from the height of expression and awe this poem took me to
ya had me from the butterfly whispering verse ..
and the wisdom in those last two verses make me high ...I dont need to climb a tree..I can see ya from here...in every word
me

I looked into the sky for my anthem
The words and music came through
But words and music can never touch the beauty that I've seen
Looking into you

this is a winging, singing song of light...

wow...

Within the color of hope
rests the rainbow
of wings
in which all of life grows
and your palette
finds the canvas
in which to share the beauty
of your heart ...
your soul ...
your vision of purity

The leaves
of your poetry tree
make the autumn
of free verse
radiate from the pages of blue
and glisten in the wonderment
of time lapses
as you transport us
on the bewildering awestruck nature
of all that you share.

==========

you my friend are a natural wonder in your own right in so many ways and of course I couldn't leave for now without ending my session with one of your beautiful verses.  I know there are more I missed but I am saving them for tonight when I return because I have this need to end my day with them also.   Hugs to you my friend.

BTW...Look for Santa in the coming days because I heard he needs to get your wish list from you.

A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses.

A butterfly dance - a butterfly life - A butterfly kiss - I hope your idle wings take flight again and again - your words are so beautiful.
