One mouse, two mice
One house, two hice?
Knits or nits give me advice
Is it one house and two hice?
No that's knot write, house is houses
Does that make one mouse two mouses?

More than one you add an "ess"
Except for sheep, this is a mess
English learning is a guess
Fills me up  with language stress
If sheep is sheep when more than one
What about ducks, is it dux and run

Ok, ok! I've got it pat
Not sure which one, but that is that
In the know, or pat the cat
Who's this English aiming at?
I've got it rite I'll take a bough
Or is it bow that I do now?

No it's bow of that I'm sure
On a present it's something more
Bow, or beau, oh rats! Manure!
This English language has no cure
Beau or Bow, bough or bow
It's hard to tell which I use now

This learning English gives me pains
I don't even want to think of rains
of reigns or reins, mainly in Spains
with desert, dessert, flooding planes
of English language take a break
perhaps I'll stay illegitimate

I think I'll call grammar sheriff.  If two show up is that "two sherrifim?"

what a mess, I need a kleenex or maybe two.  would that be "two kleeneses?"

Well done.  Beautiful!

Kethry!!!   Good to see you!!!!!!
Oh, I liked this one, lots of great phrasing and expression, love all of yours, you know I think you spend as much time at this as I do!!!!!!

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

Don't worry, I grew up here and I still get confused and trying to explain it to my own children is even worse.  Love you wit and your fun way of showing us the true meanings and non-meanings of our altered state of ever changing confusion.
