MAJESTIC DEATH
Karen Torbiak
2000

My heart still bleeds
with tears as I remember
the Majestic Death
filling the eyes
in my eastern home

Limbs barren and thin
reaching to the skies
begging for release
from a pain not self inflicted

Body scarred with beatings
over many years
rained down continuously
on innocent victims

No more does vibrant life
and laughter sing
among so many
lift with life scarring pain

The few who loved
them still weep
for the pain and suffering
went to the very core
bringing prolonged
and painful death

The world closes eyes
that they not see
for fear this suffering
they have power to stop

No ears to hear
the cries of so many
as their hearts are burned
and they left with naked pain

The pain and loss
is etched on them
for all the world to see
who would be willing
to open eyes and look

No one cares
about the burning fires
rained down on these
who have ever been our friends

We stand by and watch
Majestic Death come
to these TREES
from Acid Rain
made by man
in his greed

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com
