Something Happened On My Way To Heaven
Karen Torbiak
2000

Something happened on my way to Heaven
I stopped to walk the mountain meadow
To smell the beauty of the flower's scent
As I talked with the birds and butterflies

The mists flowed slowly down from mountain peak
Glowing bright with magic and fantasy
Wrapping me in softness that filled my heart
Letting eyes see beyond reality

I was awed by beauty left by the mists
Diamonds sparkled filling mountain meadow
A thousand dew drops on wild flowers
Sunlight reflecting rainbows of color

A dark shadow drew my eyes to the sky
The blackness of a cloud filled my vision
Setting heart beating as it decended
It boiled with anger and darkest pain

Lightning flashed from deep within the core
My spirit went out to quest the dark seen
Feeling a man within this cloud of pain
I sent love's soul to draw him into light

The cloud lifted leaving a man of heart
With a vision of great worth he came forth
Across the meadow to feel light of truth
Where healing comes to all souls from above

Looking in his eyes I saw his true soul
It blazed forth with talent and greatness
He gazed about the sweet mountain meadow
Touching flowers with his gentle fingers

Light lit his eyes as he took it all in
Turning to her he let her know his thoughts
He would accept this world offered him
Painting true love within the meadow here

Something happened on my way to Heaven
I met a man of truth and love and light
We shared the vision of mountain meadow
Healing pain while giving back love's belief

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com
