A blue space is yawning
and the sewer has collected,
crises is used to pull
the world back to respect.
There's some flaky hot task makers
who've got some will collected,
in all they've decided
to do their shaky best.

Single minded mirrored fools
stalemate in their acts of genius,
crying to their overseers
to keep the millions spent.
They talk in grand lush board rooms
to pick plans for their reasons,
how long have they known now
where the trouble's been.

They're stuck on the way to the answer to the cause.
They can't answer to the fate of the forest's lost
They can't answer to the fate of the ozone lost
They can't answer to the fate of the Children's spot.

Time to shed cloak and dagger dogs.
Time to pull together at all odds.

But the trouble preys like insults
and what care is there for truth.
In a maze of authority
they roll out old congress,
someone lays down what's hurting
and the rest do their delaying.
By money and beholding
they work till the cover sets.

They're stuck on the way to the answer to the cause!

"They talk in grand lush board rooms

"They're stuck on the way to the answer to the cause.

My emotions run deep on these thoughts as well, very thought-provoking Ethome.  If only things could be viewed simply ... cause and effect, deal with it, correct it and move on ... alas, they become awash in the muddle of red tape you've so perfectly described Ethome. Very well written!

Best wishes,
/Kit

there are many rich lines in this--and I could not help but take a political slant to this...grin..(but maybe that's just where my head is at) but...

"There's some flaky hot task makers,
who've got some will collected.
in all they've decided
to do their shaky best."

Pretty much summed it up for me before I DID NOT VOTE. (first time I did not in over ten years, btw...)

And...the rest is pretty choice too.

"stalemate in their acts of genius..."

AND THIS? I LOVE:

"Time to shed cloak and dagger dogs.
Time to pull together at all odds."

And finally, in summation?

"They're stuck on the way to the answer to the cause!"

Most Awesome, m'friend. (or is that groovy? grin...)

Many hugs...from your good friend..CELESTE?

Prinny True, this is awesome, it truly is, such a clarity of vision. This is the problem, this is the solution, this is what needs to be done, just do it. Now why is it that we who are not the power brokers can see it and they cannot. Or more likely will not. This is a fantastic and excellantly written piece from you PT, wonderful work.
Unfortunately unlike Serenity, I can't not vote, for several reasons, but mainly because my Great grandmother marched with Emmeline Pankhurst, and she'd come back and haunt me. (But I know why she didn't, and I admire her for it!) Anyway great writing from you.
Take care

how I so wanted to change that more accurately to read

"They talk in grand lush bored rooms"

as the irony would have fit the piece as well....but I would not change any of your words ethome, for the speak from the heart of the thinker...

Man oh man babes were you angry or what? This is some strong emotions here...but every word is true...if they would only truly listen to the people...to what we want to what we need...our countries would be so much better off...but at least we get the chance to vote them OUT of office...maybe not soon enough but hey some people dont even have that choice now do they?

I definately here that.  One day they might stop being so blind and see the answer to the cause. Thank you for the great read.

Now how did you get to be so wise and so masterful at penning such a wonderful piece that causes MUCH to delve into.  I too like JM's line of analysis and I think that pretty much says it all along with your wonderful creation.  This one goes in my library so that I can call on it whenever I wish.  So nice to see you writing again and now I only need to get back full time so that I make sure not to miss all these wonderful poems.  Thank you kind friend for your beautiful way of sharing.

PT, this is such a brilliant piece from you, and I truly think it should stay on the front page for as long as possible. (Just to remind people of what the Christmas message really is) Love and peace on earth. Really excellant work from you.
(Oh! keep your eyes peeled for 'The Search Continues' coming to a page near you   )

Oh, how true this is, my friend
And masterfully written
The solution cannot come when the reason is forgotten along the way
So many times a cause is corrupted and derailed by those in power, so the problem still exists, but with a weaker voice
Sometimes loud voices use a legitimate cause to diguise their agenda
What we hear and read must be decifered and sifted through and interpreted.
What a mish-mash of political lingo must pass through our heads and decoded each day
A Utopia would be having OUR money spent the way we want it spent.
Great poem
