Leave me here to rant,
To crave,
To write last week's words,
Because I didn't have the time.
Leave me here to ponder,
While I miss my friends,
And their welcome voices.
Distance touches,
Meeting in telephone connections,
Words zipping,
Ripping through barriers,
To soothe welcoming ears.
Leave me here to insomnia,
While I wonder,
If tomorrow I can make it,
Through an easy work day.
Much crowds the mind at this hour,
And 2:45am comes soon.
Unnoticed,
Leave me here.
Leave me here with my random bits.
Car needs brakes,
Christmas party to plan for,
Cooking that needs to be done,
Shopping that has to be enjoyed.
This is part of life,
And I just want to write it

Temptress~
Oh, man - is this the truth or what ???

'Leave me here to rant,
To crave,
To write last week's words,
Because I didn't have the time.'

'This is part of life,
And I just want to write it

I still can't believe that they expect poets to 'moonlight'
at those 9-6 work days ! !

*A little chuckler -
My boss asked me what I'd do if I had his job for a day -
I told him I could handle it -

He suggested we do a day of role-reversal -
I told him I only had ONE question.

He said, "I know. You want to know if you'll make what I make."

NOT !

My question was, "Can you write poetry ?"

He withdrew his offer ! !

I REALLY enjoyed this read.
Have a great work day, hon !

Oh you said it, this is one of my usual nights. It can get difficult after too many  like this. Great telling of this story of life.

'cause I am hanging on every word you say, and, even if you don't want to speak tonight, that's alright, alright with me...

Well I'd say that with this part of life...
you've hit the nail on the head.
I hate it when I have nights like that...

I'm thankful it doesn't happen every night!

Well done

It must be December in a normal household!

The line about shopping must be enjoyed cracked up!  It's a rough job but someone's gotta do it.
