She watched from her guilded chair
The joust was about to begin
The knights on prancing horses
Armor sparkling in the sun
Ribbon favors from the ladies
Fluttering in the morning breeze
He rode his horse with skill and daring
But there was cruelty in his spur
As evidenced by the bloodstained flanks
And she watched as he backhanded his page
Over a bit of twisted rein
She watched as he picked himself up
And brushed the dust from his clothes
He fixed the rein and gentled the horse
Dignity and patience in his every move
His eyes met hers for a brief moment
Dark and shining in the sun
And it was not the arrogant knight
But the lowly page instead
Who won the ladys' heart
But her father would not listen
And banished her to the tower
Til she accepted his decree
That night he crept to the tower stairs
And called to his lady love
If a knight is what your father wants
Then a knight is what I will be
We go to fight the Holy War
I pledge to you my lady fair
When next we are to meet
It will not be a page that kneels at your feet
But a knight both tried and true
And before she could beg him not to go
He had vanished into the night
For months she waited longing to hear
From the page who held her heart
Her fathers pleas fell on deaf ears
She refused to wed the knight
And lanquished in her tower room
As the lonely months passed
And stories of terror and heroism
Came slowly to her room
Tales of torture tales of daring
But no word of him
And the years slowly passed...

Paula,
Weft and weave
warp and weft
your ending left me
...quite bereft.

This is a captivating tale. I enjoyed this one so much.

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

Paula love, it's true you can't quit now. The next one's a troubadour, but it's close to a knight, Right? And he'll be blundering down the path any minute, so watch for him love. This one even made the the girls in the office laugh. (Well either that or they had been stealing the Chrissy spirits).
This is utterly wonderful, you know that don't you, of course you do, because I told you so. Trust me, I know doctors
Take care love
