In the winds of Cherokee song

0 posted 2000-11-30 02:24 PM

I wonder

Do you see the beauty
     that you possess?
Do you see the smiles
     that you pass along?
Do you know of the power
     of your simple caress?
I wonder ... do you truely realize
     the strength in your song?

I wonder ...
I ponder ...
I dream ...

Are you aware of the rainbow
that you hold in your heart?
Are you aware of the peace
     surging through those you touch?
Are you aware of the happiness
you spread as you take part?
I inquire ... are you aware
     that you give so much?

I wonder ...
I inquire ...
I search ...

Did you know ahead of time
of the joy you would bring?
Did you know before you spoke
     that your words would reach?
Did you know that your own happiness
rests within the song that you sing?
I wonder ... did you know of your skill
when you found this heart to breach?

I wonder ...
I notice ...
I realize ...

Do You?

Mark my friend, now you are most definitely a champagne poet, this is utterly and delightfully delicious. Oh WOW, this is so magnificent, and I really love it. This is so superb.
Did you know ahead of time
of the joy you would bring
Did you know before you spoke
that your words would reach

This is absolutely divine, the whole poems is wonderful but these lines really are my favourite. Excellant work
I love it

This is lovely and tender. May we use it in the Valentine issue of the newsletter? I know you've given us carte blanche, but I just want to make sure that you are aware of the poems we would like to you. Thank you, Mark.

Gemini-Thank you so much and being a new style for me, I am very flattered that you would include it in you library so double thanks to you.

SEA-Thank you my friend and while I can not honestly say that JM was the soul source of inspiration in this one, it does sort of fit her completely now doesn't it.

James-Thank you so much my friend.  Glad you enjoyed it.

Startime-I hope all that this would apply to would realize it and though it is meant as a pick me up for a very special friend, it is for all to share and to see that beauty that we all hold within our grasps.  Thank you dearly for your kind reply and your wishes for love.

Serenity-Have I told you how wonderful and beautiful you make each day with your kindness and gentleness?  Well in case you were wondering, YOU DO!!! Thank you so much my friend.

Marsha-Why my friend and president, thank you so very much and I am glad that you found some favorite lines in this one.  Your dedication and your heart do not go unnoticed by anyone from what I can tell.

Karilea-Thank you my friend and softly is most often better than with resounding over abundance wouldn't you say?

JM-You know how much your friendship means to me and as I said earlier in a reply above this one, you fit this one quite well yourself and I believe as you do that we all hold that beauty within us that we don't see as easily and as clearly as those around us......and the (...), well, I don't know, maybe in your stocking this year, make sure you look.    Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Charisma-Not only do I get your wonderful replies but I can always count on you for some wonderful hugs. Thank you my friend and I am glad that you enjoyed it.

Sharon-Thank you very much and yes you may use it in the issue and thank you again for letting me know which ones you will be using.

dgvarner-Yes, it is amazing and even more amazing is the trail of evidence that is left with all that they touch.  Thank you dearly and as for the coffee, well, I think you went to the wrong cafe, cause I was waiting for weeks hours at a time but you never showed.  Perking more later on tonight.

MarkB~
This is just so YOU ...
beautifully said from your heart that perceives much about others.

Most who are as giving as your poem implies
are not aware of the depth of their giving -
they do it because they are blessed with the loving spirits and don't use a yardstick to measure their hearts.
Giving of themselves to others is as natural as breathing.
It's really all about giving, with no expectations
of getting anything out of it, but the joy
of knowing that it reached another heart
and made someone know they are important
because they are loved by somebody.

How beautiful of you to recognize it and to take it to ponder.
You're quite unique in your ability to see the good in others ...
Love you - I do.

Mark* This is truly beautiful...those that
touch our hearts the deepest often seem
oblivious to the impact that they have in
our lives...and yes that is what makes them
so very special...I think it's a goal for
each of us to live for the happiness of
others...because it can't help but come back
to you.  Written as only you can write my
friend...so nice to see your work again~

Mark you've also become very wise, elegant and so poetically spoken, I believe sometimes those most close to you do not realize at times the magic they possess, the beauty that is beheld in the slightest things, Just hearing their voice no matter what they say, But the way to their heart is never giving up and holding on tight, and giving them the boost of life, they need to see the beauty not only from within but from the outside to the inside, I know you inspire, delight and give us all true enchantment with your words. I've missed your poetry my friend, thanks for the magical journey.

Hey you!!! Sorry I've missed you, seems our paths have not crossed for a wee bit (my reality is interfering with this lovely place).

It is so good to read you again ... this is just lovely Mark, and so very true. It is amazing how many people do not realize the special beauty and warmth they share with others ... if only they could see themselves through these beautiful words you've penned .... just beautiful!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Mark my friend, the weekly meeting of the MBOOPAS will now come to order. And Daphy and Sues if you're going to argue you can sit apart, right. (That's me being a wicked and hardhearted woman, and I am aren't I everyone. YES SHE IS!) Right here we go, and I have promised that this can stay on screen for the rest of today, sort of soften the blow of me not allowing them to run riot because it's Friday! Daphy as usual heads the list.

This is now my favourite, you wrote this for us didn't you. (No I know you didn't!)                     Daphnie
This is a really great poem  Kelsy
I think this is fantastic, how are we ever going to choose a favourite  Jan
(Have I not said this!)
Love this one far more than Daphy does   Sue
(Don't set her off again)
And I love it more than either of you                          Delia
(I'm warning you!)
This is absolutely just WOW   Pat
Truly a wonder I really love this one. You are a great poet!             Fran
This is terrific, a superb poem. Can I take this home please              Mel
I really love this one        David

And finally me, because although I've given my reply I haven't as your President, and I have to get some perks now don't I, well I hope so.
I love it it is an excellant, divinely beautiful poem that illuminates your heart with an incandescence that truly becomes you. Okay it's true I'm just winding them up, but it's true nevertheless, every single word.
Take care
