Intoxicating Passions Poets

Every poet on Passions is wonderful I think you are like a wine
You all have your own characteristics which makes you all so fine
There are some who are like a Lambrini, frothy bubbly and quite light
Their words bubble and cascade out, just so perfect for a party night
Some are like Burgundy, very rich in body and red with a fine taste
Their words round off a night, with deep meanings they are laced

There are the champagne poets, from the cheap to the very dear
Each one has their place, their words bring delight to all who hear
Each poet that we open offers us a very different type of wine to savour
Every single one has their own very particular and individual flavour
There are red wine poets whose words stir up our souls as we read
And white wine poets whose touch is lighter our hearts to feed

I haven't yet mentioned the spirits and those fine ales and beers
For those intoxicating poets serve us with poems that bring cheer
All these poets filling our souls with the wine that is never ever off
You are amazing wonderful Passions Poets to you my hat I doff
So roll out the barrel and open up a bottle of your finest booze
Here's a toast to Passions Poets the poets a connoisseur choose

Marsha

BRAVA....this is a most intoxicating piece...but now I've got to figure in, where exactly does Sunshine fit...

Ah I know!  She's the warm that makes grapes [hops, barley, oats] grow!

Prinny True, thank you very muchly, it is? I can tell you that this was inspired by the office party, which we are planning. I was writing the list of what we were all bringing and this came out of it. I was saying that if I was a wine, it would be Lambrini, and then everyone else started.
And you Prinny True, you'd be either cognac, or chardonnay. (For someone who doesn't drink a lot I know an awful lot of wines don't I   )
Take care

Martie, thank you kindly, and you would be a cabernet, or maybe a chablis. Both of which are sooooo scrumy.

'Deer, now that's a drink I've never tried, what's it like? Actually I'd say you were a Napoleon Brandy.

Take care
