If I knocked down a wall for you
Stepped out and gave my all to you
Allowed myself to fall for you
Would you be kind to me?

If I unlocked the deadbolt and
Put silver key in waiting hand
With hopes that you would understand
Would you pay mind to me?

I've spent years building barricades
And walls no one can breach
My heart resides in cast-iron safe
Completely out of reach.

Now here you are to ring the bell
And offer ride on carousel
A chance at heaven - maybe hell
I'm far too blind to see

If curtains were allowed to part
Providing access to my heart
Would it be dumb or very smart?
Would you be kind to me?

Listening to every heart

the hardest part of looking in
may be in the hearts of kin
and in a new friend's face you see
the heart that will hold your memories

so be not dumb, but smart, and swift
and watch the barricades as they shift
see the Sun come smiling in
and your friends come welcoming

Being Kind to you would be so easy for me
like second skin, like poetry.
How could I not be kind to you ...
why its the most natural thing to do
For you have set the example ... you were kind first
always seeing my best ... when I only saw the worst ...
So yes sweet poet I can be kind to you ..
and Ill prove it by sharing my spam and a *winkiewinkie or two

hey there you silver fox you ...
love the new picture

Sprayed across my heart and hers
Danced butterflies in the wild
This angel, this woman ,
who loves me with the innocence of a child.

Oh gosh this was asked so very gently. How could anyone not be kind to you and treat your heart with gentleness. *sigh* romantic you are and this poem I love. Thank you so very much for sharing.

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. [URL=http://path2riches.com]http://path2riches.com

I like the new picture also   < !signature-->

Beautifully written thoughts, my friend, and ones that I can relate to. As for your question, yes!

If she could see through poetry,
The heart and mind I've come to see,
Then surely, she'd be kind to thee,
For you are wondrous company.

Beautiful Michael (and love the "new you")

Best wishes,

I'll leave your heart for the ladies to enjoy, but I would most certainly be kind and ask to take lessons from the master!!!   Well written sir and yeah, the new pic should make quite a few of the ladies smile broadly.

The poem echoes the silent pleas of a heart that needs the gentle caress of a true love and I for one hope that you find it.

'Dear,
Kind to you
you know I am
even when you're eating spam
even when the cows come home
even when your cover's blown
could I
would I
there's the rub
I would love you in the tub
In the street and in the mall
kindness to you will never pall
should you
could you
ever see
just what it is you mean to me
I would be kind, I would be true
I would teach a thing or two
So Balladeer don't you fret
for I will love you across the net.

I don't know what Dr Seuss Is doing inside my head at this time of day but there ya go.

Aw Balladeer love is such a gamble isn't it? But everyone takes the chance and there are no answers I could really give other than those same answers that I thought felt right when I felt that miraculous feeling that comes with the infatuation of a new love. A feeling that knocks one into a chemical imbalance where a racing heart pours firey passions through the veins...oh that wonderful biological function!! I think you'll have to try it again you're too much of a romantic soul to escape that rush... and just maybe she will be kind to you ...forever have a nice love!!   ethome
