Elizabeth Santos - Love's Shadow

Soft and gently spoken
Disregarding self
Her heart is wide and open
Her humor as an elf
Her family,… her lifeline
Connects her to the pen
When ever there is strife time
She offers hope again

Her beloved Tony
Is now just moving on
Although her heart is lonely
She gifts us with her song
A song of life and learning
A song of grace and peace
A soaring song of yearning
And bittersweet release

As she's stood be others
May now all, stand by her
In this place, all are brothers
She taught us how to share
Shown us of God's portrait
And followed with His care
Her hand reveals a power so great
A spirit so aware

As her poetry calls me
By shadows tinged by loss
I sense implicit victory
Love's shadow shows the cross

Elizabeth my dearling
There's one thing I have learned
I am but a yearling
As far as you're concerned
You have taught me so much
I always learn from you
And your tender love's touch
Reveals a heart pure…true

May I Please Be Happy

May I find some seeds of joy among the fields of grief
May the beauty of my life adorn my Christmas wreath
That all who enter through my door may know that here inside
Joy and sorrow hand in hand in depths of soul reside

May the happiness I’ve shared so long with one who leaves me now
Reflect in fond remembrance upon the Christmas bough
That all the little ones will know that sadness fills my heart
But does not shroud the season’s joy that Christmas will impart

My spirit is uplifted by my friends at passions place
Where poets such as Kethry write to me with words of grace
My heart is overflowing with the comfort that you bring
Through sorrows deepest canyons, contentment’s bells still ring

Though some will see the evidence of sorrow on my face
Peace and joy and love and hope abound in the same place
May the beauty of my life also adorn my Christmas wreath
May I find some seeds of joy among the endless fields of grief

THank you, Kethry

Kethry....your compassion is showing, and on you, it glows...

Elizabeth, we remain with you, beside you...that love and spirit, guide you...

Always...

ethome, I'm so glad you were first in line to praise this wonderful lady.

Kit, thank you for responding, I will accept both the prayers and hugs and then... pass them on.

Janet,
as always...you write my heart.

suthern,
what a joy it is to be part of this loving and forgiving family

Paula,
sweet and gentle are two very good words to describe Liz, thank you.

Sunshine,
I learned from an angel...

Liz,
Thank you for responding within this thread, I am honoured and humbled.

I wish you sunshine after rain
I wish that peace will follow pain
But most of all
When shadows fall
Remember love

Be well
Kethry
