It only took a minute, for me to say too much.
I could lay the blame on anger, and use it for a crutch.
But if the plain, unvarnished truth is what a wise man seeks...
Then from the treasures of the heart- the tongue draws strength and speaks.

If a cup clear to the brim is filled, with water pure and sweet...
It cannot spill a bitter drop, though jostled hard for weeks.
Drinking, temper, selfishness, all play integral parts-
But the truth be known, the culprit lies in our perverted hearts.

Man that’s born of woman, like the sparks do upward fly-
Has few days, those full of troubles, then he withers, soon to die.
My goal is live each minute, to it’s fullest every day-
And touch lives in my passing, maybe share a cheering ray.

And to leave a legacy of hope, to all whom I have known-
Perhaps they’ll miss me just a bit, on hearing that I’m gone.
If my dream does reach fruition, that I owe, at least in part,
To a Book I read, which warned me of, a vain deceitful heart.

You are doing a fine job of touching lives and sharing a cheering ray. I feel sure you
would be missed.
It takes only a second to say the wrong thing, that was my mistake today. Hopefully before the sun went down he knew I was sorry.

Danced butterflies in the wild
This angel, this woman ,
who loves me with the innocence of a child.
