Oubliette Of Oblivion
~*Marge Tindal*~

sometimes
the hurt runs deeper
than the words
upon the page

the rage
the rage

rumbles
rumbles

cascades

falling
forever
backwards
into an
oubliette of oblivion

sometimes

just sometimes

I forget
to remember
to forget

Marge~

Sometimes it is better to forget . . . but there are other times when all we can do is remember.  Hope that makes sense!

Marge-
WOW...so you DO write some dark poems.

              'sometimes
         the hurt runs deeper
            than the words
             upon the page'

              'sometimes

           just sometimes

               I forget
             to remember
              to forget'

much truth in these words, my friend...
and a painful truth at that...
I can relate to this one all to well...
I often 'forget to remember to forget'
love the way you've expressed these feelings...

   love and hugs,
   ~vicky

p.s. shhh...don't tell anyone else that I had to
     look up the word 'oubliette'...lol

Good day,
Very true...I can relate to this sort of forgetfulness in reminding myself to remember to try not to forget to remember not to forget to remember to forget sometimes...
You introduced me as well to the word "Outbliette"
Excellent writing...

take care,

Marge,Excellent, wonderful, superb write it inspired this; sorry.
Here within my oubliette
I feel just like a Juliet
Confined here in space so small
I can reach out and touch both walls
But the thing that's so unkind
The oubliette entraps my mind.
Circles, spirals, round and round
I forget, then go to ground
One day I'll leave and yet, and yet
Will I remember to forget.

Write on

Yeah I know Marge...sometimes a person falls back into the abyss of loneliness where they recall the hurt and the rage and go back over all those things that they heve been trying to release from the mind. Excellent work!! hit the nail right on the head!!   ethome

Marge, this is so truthful, I can remember, wishing that I didn't remember. Oh yes I can definitely recall this, still it's the ups and downs that make the trip through life a trip and not a stroll. Really great Marge girl, brilliant.
take care

Marge~
Hello again, dear friend!  So good to be able to read your words once more.  As always, what you pen comes from the truth of the heart, my dear!  I think it is all too oftenthat I find myself in these shoes...

                                               I forget
                                               to remember
                                                to forget

Sometimes if I could remember to forget I know that all would go a lot smoother!

Thank you, once again, for making me think.  That is the greatest gift that you can give!

Love Ya~

JWesley~
Thank you for letting me know.
I care what you think about what I pen.

Gemini~
It's okay to be in that realm of forget
as long as no one closes the lid on it.
*Hugs* to you.

TerryW~
Hello, love.
So glad to share a gift with you.
Smile -
Love you, too.

Tiersdin~
Thank you sooooo much for noticing the format.
Believe me, I tried it several ways before I settled on this.
I could just hug you for letting me know it was effective.

Oh, Marge - you very rarely speak of your inner feelings like this!  I am filled with goosebumps and sorrow.  I lean towards the inner spirit that you so rarely show, and wrap myself around you with love.

Beautiful poem.  Intricately worded.  Thank you for sharing it.

hi marge,
yes i finally found my way here

i wish i can say something original but it seems like i feel the same way as the masses...i marvelled at the way you said

I forget
to remember
to forget

and that your title sure did sound promising....not ashamed that i also required the help of my trusty dictionary!

hmmm, keep up the dark side?

Interesting take - and yes, it could be so.

intricate inner spirit of me written in this piece.

I'm not sure I understand it ... but for you - I'll try !

'Bout time !
Glad to introduce you to your dictionary for this one.
Thank you for the reply in which you gave
me the encouragement to post a 'dark' one.

just a little ditty to bump this up

Memory Loss

Together at long last,
you dumped me again
unceremoniously,

the tender promises
you made
cast aside,

like what happens
to the cocoon
when a caterpillar
finds its wings

i then remembered
i forgot
to remember

all the past hurts
you dealt me

so mercilessly
