I seem to have caught Sven's Sickness and I say to him,"A pox on you Sir Sven for passing on your passion'd plague. Now when am I going to sleep?" Still! gonna write it all out until the cure comes

Constant is the word I use, to describe his charm
And faithful comes to mind, faith rests within his arm
Peaceful is his countenance, when all around travails
Giving faith as sustenance, when all the world bewails
Holding out the shield of hope, holding it so high
Giving faithful shelter for all who're passing by

Never-changing always the same
Constancy his middle name
Gifted by God to this place
To help and comfort in life's race

Covering the many faults of the sundered few
Making every allowance, humility shows through
Protects the weak, in his care help and hope is found
Deep compassion rich and rare, through his words abound
Giving strength to the hopeless, those who have fallen
Lifting up the weary, their virtues he's extolling

Constancy his middle name
Faithfulness is his game
God given strength, to ease and care
To raise those beaten, in despair

Slings and arrows will not pierce, while his shelter reigns
Giving up all to people, he's finding unsought gains
His shield held high for all to see, his power radiates
Drawing all to victory, while love communicates
Holding tight the values that make the world less drear
Hold high the shield of faith, compassionate Balladeer.

Bravo..  I can think of few who deserve this more! It's a wonderful testimony of praise for Balladeer.  Thanks for posting it.< !signature-->

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

He is indeed a cornerstone of Passions...and probably one of the most compassionate people I've ever run across....

Kethry, you've done him proud...

Friends,
thanks for responding, in this instance I was only the instrument, to pen what was so blatantly obvious to me, I was surprised no one (except Sven, who gave it to me) had done it first.
Be well
Kethry.

Jeez, Kethry, I don't know what to say....there aren't many times that I am at a loss for words but, uh, I'm stammering here! I don't recall EVER receiving a tribute this warm, sincere, kind and accurate. LOL!!
Lynne, if my arms were 1500 miles longer, I would thank you properly but, until I can save up the air fare, you'll just have to settle for my sincerest and warmest thanks. I appreciate and value your friendship very much and my thanks to all the kind and generous poet who have responded. Thank you all.....

I'm not sure I understand this... I think I need the Toerag interpretation....

but really Kethry -- a very nice tribute to a great guy.

Kethry, firstly forgive me for being tardy, very tardy with my reply. But I really do have an excuse, and it's true, would I lie, well possibly, but only to my sisters whom deserve it.
So before I give the excuse let me say this is one brilliant, sincere and wonderful write from you. As always, very very fine, and I'd say it's one of your best.

Now the excuse, firstly, I've had work piling up on my desk that I really had to finish. So I stayed off the puter as much as I could yesterday. And the rest of MBOOPAS, I beat them all with sticks to keep them on track!! Then when I finally did get on The puter wouldn't accept my replies, it was obviously having a sulk. So am I forgiven? Pretty please! Thank you love! And for that I shall have to see what I can do.
I did say I love it didn't I? Because I do!
Take care
