If I were truly a poet ... I'd find the perfect words to say ...
the perfect words to tell you ... to take all the pain and fears away.
But my words alone could never be enough ... for they could never do you justice,
I wish for a word for each tear that falls ... words of healing poetry entrusts us.

Something's cant be put into words ... some emotions cant be captured in rhyme,
Still I wish to try to convey ... you have a place here in our hearts for all time.
I am a better poet and person ... for having known your touch ...
you have been a lesson in strength ... we all admire and adore you so much.

So many times now ... your words have touched our hearts,
your poetry and wisdom engraved in gold ... etched in time ever to impart.
When I see your light ... I am reminded of the phrase "grace under pressure"
You are our angel of poetry ... you are a gift we will forever treasure.

Janet Marie

Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding ...
remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

Janet Marie

Danced butterflies in the wild
This angel, this woman ,
who loves me with the innocence of a child.

Janet: I wanted to write something for Liz also, but nothing could say more than yours did.  I just found out about this, and have been praying for her during this time and wishing her peace.

Janet, this is the most touching poem i have read from you so far....even though you say you hesitate as to the choice of the right words to say, me think you have expressed those impossible-to describe feelings very well indeed

Janet Marie: Thank you for a beautiful poem. You've said what so many of us wish to say and said it eloquently. *S* Elizabeth's poetry would be stunning under any circumstance... but when I think that she started writing such a little time ago and creates such treasures under such terrible pressure, I'm amazed and humbled... and so very appreciative that her talent graces our forums and her friendship warms our hearts. *S* (And yes... much of that describes you, too. *S*)

Janet Marie,

Your words have touched my heart
In ways I can't explain
It's as though the wings of love
Have come to take the pain

They do uplift my soul
And comfort my unrest
As day by day I strive
To cope with sorrow's stress

Wrapped in blanket's warmth
A quilt of cherished threads
I feel the warmth and care
Each square a poet friend

Thank you, my sweet poet
For words that you impart
THe quilt of friendship's love
Will remain within my heart

THank you friends of passion
You give a priceless gift
Kind words in time of need
My weary heart uplift

THank you, Janet Marie
Thank you , poet friends
LOve
Liz

Dear Lizzie...thank you so much for the beautiful love filled verse...let all these replies hold you and show you how cherished you are here...and I know you already know== we wish we could do more than write poetry..
and pray...
If we could, we would each cry a tear for you to share and lessen the pain...
BUT as a very wise Whitedove once said on
another prayer post in here...
Praying is not "all" we can do it is the MOST we can do.
(see Dovey...we were listening) *smile*

THANK YOU ALL for the wonderful replies to this and for your words of support for Liz..
that is what I wish this post to be about...
a place to share her grace.
thank you to Sunshine for the "angel bumps"
love to all
JM

This wonderful lady's poetry affects me the same way Janet and I compliment you for taking the time to express this from that heart of yours that is constantly overflowing with love and kindness...I find a very special quality in Elizabeth's poetry that I can't put into words...bit it's imbued with such deep warm humanity....from nostalgia to heart rending pain it comes across as a special treat to me.....and for that I thank her for sharing...I thank her so much ...my heart goes out to her through this difficult time....ethome

Love that quote of yours at the end...... VANtastic wisdom you possess....keep your pen moving toward the minds of friends....

Janet Marie,
Grace under pressure indeed, you have done her proud.

My contribution to her. Not to take away from what you've done for there is no comparison.

Elizabeth Santos - Love's Shadow

Soft and gently spoken
Disregarding self
Her heart is wide and open
Her humor as an elf
Her family,… her lifeline
Connects her to the pen
When ever there is strife time
She offers hope again

Her beloved Tony
Is now just moving on
Although her heart is lonely
She gifts us with her song
A song of life and learning
A song of grace and peace
A soaring song of yearning
And bittersweet release

As she's stood be others
May now all, stand by her
In this place, all are brothers
She taught us how to share
Shown us of God's portrait
And followed with His care
Her hand reveals a power so great
A spirit so aware

As her poetry calls me
By shadows tinged by loss
I sense implicit victory
Love's shadow shows the cross

Elizabeth my dearling
There's one thing I have learned
I am but a yearling
As far as you're concerned
You have taught me so much
I always learn from you
And your tender love's touch
Reveals a heart pure…true

Kethry
