In the space between moments

0 posted 2000-11-26 10:12 PM

Silvered frost
Glittering in braids
Is woven delicately
Through the lifeless oaken arms
Creaking softly
In the light of glassy stars.

Space- cold, empty,
And crying tears from shadowed eyes
Measures the passage
Of my frostbitten thoughts...
Only crisp tendrils of wind
Embrace me
As I long for the shimmering warmth
Of you.

God, listen to me now
For the crystal clumps of snow
Bring numbness to my core...

An ice-fire of emotion
Blazes upon my eyelids
I’m lost...and alone
As sprays of silvered frost
Glitter somewhere
Where Springtime’s fertile hope
Is still promised.

you ARE poetry.

Krista~
This is stunning !
Such vividness in the phrases.
What wonderful imagery you've painted so delicately.

Oh, Krista.. The lonliness you've described here is exceptionally vivid. I can almost feel yesterday morning's frost glistening on my own skin. I'm thinking that this is a window into your emotions last night. I wish you didn't have to feel this way but at least you can vent your emotions in such a beautiful way. You're always in my heart, sweety. Exquisity writing

This is one of the finest works of poetry I've read on this board in a long time. I'm sorry to say i don't believe I've read any of yours, and I'm feeling badly about that. This is simply poetry with flow, expression, and as a nature lover, it is going into my library.. Please write more!

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.
