It is a miserable life for passionate souls,
Always waiting for something that may never come,
Unsatisfied,never feeling whole,
Sensitive to pain, yet also rendered numb.
Intolerant to the daily grind,
And vociferous in complaint,
Not suffering fools, and often blind
To acting with restraint.
And although in life's vicissitudes,
There is not much they will miss,
They will also know the pulchritude,
Of the highest states of bliss.
For such heights they reach, that life seems tame,
For those souls who burn with a quieter flame.

TonyA~
I like this phrase very much -

'For such heights they reach, that life seems tame,
For those souls who burn with a quieter flame.'

How very vividly this speaks to me.
Ah, yes !
Very nicely said.

*sigh* this is too true. Truth seems to flow easily through your words. To be passionate can be a blessing and a cursing. I guess it all depends on how we handle ourselves. Thank you for another great read.

May I non poetically state you sure hit the nail on the head.  But, this had the touch of a classic. A real keeper.

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

Tony,
Very very well written.

"It is a miserable life for passionate souls,
Always waiting for something that may never  come
Unsatisfied,never feeling whole,
Sensitive to pain, yet also rendered numb".

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
