On Heartache's Shore
~*Marge Tindal*~

Sometimes when your heart is aching
it shatters not alone
For somewhere out there another feels
they are also breaking on their own

So if two hearts be shattered
scattered in the night
They might just meet upon the shore
of heartache tonight

If one picks up a piece of yours
found laying on heartbreak's shore
And seeks you out to return it
and softly knocks at your door

Then you will know the piece you found
laying next to yours in the sand
Belongs to that person's heart
yet you held it lovingly in your hand

As you each exchange the pieces
you found that you've been holding
You just may find the perfect fit
of new love is unfolding

Beautifully penned Marge ... such a wonderful mood this has set. Just when heartache becomes insurmountable, we may just find this missing piece held lovingly by another ... oh so true. What a lovely vision you've shared!

Best wishes,

Well, here I am a'knocking
Right at your front door.
I found this little piece of heart
That washed upon the shore.

I knew that, when I found it,
Because it was so large
There was no doubt that it belonged
To my good buddy MArge.

They tell me down on Main Street
You found a piece yourself
And have it placed for all to see
There on your kitchen shelf.

So let's put them together
And maybe we can start a
Beautiful relationship....
Your ventricle - my aorta.

It is on heartache's shore I dwell
Alone in my own private hell...

Sorry Marge thise words just popped into my head as I read this. I like the idea in your poem better though. It would be so nice to not be alone in heartbreak...this was gorgeous.
