Becalming

The faintest of rain drops,
becalming crystal orb --
so frail, yet seductive.

My eyes hold you in a place
where time stands without breath,
where life has no other need.

In the stillness, I relive your descent.
My lungs expanding in the search for
language befitting your worth.

Yet, all I can do is collapse my thoughts --
listening as your warmth runs long against
my spine.

This piece certainly fits the title, which drew me right in, and all I can say is "thank you"...

RJ~
Just breathing in the uniqueness of your thoughts -

'Yet, all I can do is collapse my thoughts --
listening as your warmth runs long against
my spine.'

Lovely.

Robert,
how can one work be so soothing and yet sensual, from your pen, I'd say easily.
