Stand Up,

Stand up, show your support for Beauty
Arise and praise others wonderful poetry
Receive their gifts with smiles and grace
Flowing rivers of words that fly by apace
Touched by the love and roused by desire
Breathe in the essence feel the poetic fire

Stand up defy those mean spirited few
Applaud the life and give poetry its due
Our hearts and spirits take wing and soar
With poetry in our souls at our very core
Released emotions swell like a tidal wave
Bringing our souls out of the worlds cave

Stand up, declare yourself, be a Poet too
Reveal that your spirit is poetically true
Touch our poet spirits join our poetic band
Lift up your poet voices let love resound
Beauty in poetic form stands shining clear
Towards a poetic river our boat we steer

Stand up, stand up and raise the poetic cry
Away with troubled hearts that only sigh
Raise our banner and march for our poetry
Beauty leads us and our spirits will be free
Lifting voices in our poetic battle cries
One in spirit and our souls take to the skies

Stand up, and sing our poetic anthem, arise
Repel those seeking this our poetic prize
Return their jealousies with a clever phrase
They will soon understand that poetry pays
Stand up, stand up let our poetry sing free
Arise, come stand up, and defend our poetry
Come and Stand Up with ME

A heart of gold, sharing soul, to lift...

well done Marsha. Had to look for the reference, but all will be corrected...

Kethry, Thank you muchly, only I was so insensed by what happened to Kit, I had to write it. And if I ever got hold of the little snake I'd hand it over to our trainee surgeons. We don't normally give them live ones, now wouldn't that be justice.
Anyway I'm glad you liked it. and I hope Kit does too.

Ethome, thank you, I truly do. Do you know I'm really blushing! Honestly.
Oh you are picky, I offered you a Physiotherapist, a Pharmacist, how about someone from Radiology? There's a girl that might do for you in there, admittedly she has a slight moustache, but in the right light you don't notice it that much. Which is why I suppose she works in Radiology, they don't have the lights on for very long.

Kari, thank you muchly. Good, I'm glad I know you'll get it corrected.

Take care

You're just too wonderful Marsha ... my goodness, this was absolutely inspirational! Now how on earth can I stay upset when I've got incredible people like you singing with such beautiful poetry.  Thank you so much for your encouraging e-mails and thoughts also. I'm feeling much better about it now with all the support. I guess some people just have nothing better to do. This is exceptional Marsha ... penned with such heart and positive warmth ... you're wonderful! Thank you!

Best wishes and much appreciation,
/Kit

Circe, thank you love, if you don't know why I did, go to the Alley. It made me soooooo cross, and I so rarely do anger. Apart from anything else love, it so bad for the spirit.
Your poem today is phenomenal, absolutely excellant work.

Parker thank you, I must admit that it made me feel rather like sister Anna and her banner, but what the heck. She deserves a stand up piece as I know you will agree.

Lovebug, thank you, I'm sorry I missed you earlier, I didn't mean too, honestly. I'm very pleased you like this I really am. Kit is such a brilliant poet that I feel rather a fraud gifting her with this. But I was stirred into action and the only action that was open to me was this. So thank you again.

'Deer, thank you muchly, so are you going to bang the drum for us to march to. A drum is always guaranteed to gather the troops.

Kit oh love! You are so sweet, you really are. I really did think of offering the little muckworm to the trainee surgeons you know. But maybe a better punishment would be to make the dear soul eat here. I think that is called, all together now one two three....
