Has anybody here seen my old friend Dee,
can you tell me where she's gone?
She wrote a lot of poems that filled my heart with song
I just looked around and she was gone

Has anybody here seen my old friend Maureen,
can you tell me where she went?
With her soft smiles and her gentle lament
I just want to her, best wishes sent

Has anybody here seen my old friend Long John
can  you tell me where he's gone
He gave a lot of comfort to those who had no song
I just want  him to write on

Has anybody here seen my old friend Hardrock
Can you tell me where he's been
He wrote poetry of life, of love yet to be seen
I  just want him to share my dream

Kethry, you have as always written a beauty here. I do indeed miss all those you mention, they all had such amazing poems. This is an excellant write from you, but I expect and know that yours always are. Every single poet here, is a real and perfect treasure, and I love them all. Like everyone I do have my favourites, and you know that you are one of them. I do try to read as many as I can, and also to reply to as many as I can, but..... well you know I have to do some work or the boss beats me with a stick.   (I've got the bruises to prove it, admittedly they are soul bruises, but they are there.) Wonderful amazing writting  love.
Take care

ethome,
and I've been wondering where my whine is. C'mon a promise is a promise.

Mushy,
you always say the nicest things.

Be well

Keth, after being around for a while now, I can tell you....they come and they go. Somepeople just get tired, some people come here to let their feelings out and seek a little temporary comfort, others just take breaks for a while. Most come back, sooner or later, because they know there are friends here...

Don't worry about LongJohn...the proverbial bad penny ALWAYS shows back up! He doesn't retreat....he reloads. Sometimes he and Lorelei just like to travel for a while and rumor has it he actually works at times but I
think that's just a vicious rumor!   He'll be back.....

Balladeer,
I understand what you're saying, It doesn't mean I have to accept it. I always say if you can't win the game that's playing, change the rules.
Be well

Sometimes life just plain interferes...and you have to leave the thing that gives you the most joy. Not a pleasant thought...its just life. Great write
