can you hear me
sighing into your heart
with the softest touch
   velvety
           satiny
                feathery

speaking of my dreams
sharing all of yours
embracing as we glide
   floating
             drifting
                    soaring

look in my eyes
do you see yourself
believe my love is true
  deep
        constant
               strong

hear the words of my soul
calling your name
feel this ache within me
   needing
            wanting
                  begging

I need you to fill me
join me here
on heaven’s doorstep
  serene
          tranquil
                 contented

extend your hand
reach for me
I’m here before you
waiting
          beckoning
                  inviting

calling your name
in my heart you reside
giving me reason to go on
   assurance
              purpose
                    hope

just call to me
allow me to enter
I am yours
  forever
           always
                never

I hope I am first to applaud your first attempt at free verse...the ending caught me by surprise, so therefore, I had to read it twice...lol...

well done, little one...

write on!

Excellent. . . I liked the form that you used here, it flowed very well. . . and like Sunshine, the ending surprised me. . . and putting it in a different color made it all the more. . .

Wonderful. . . look forward to more of this from you. . .

Your first free style?
wow, excellent job.
I love the flow, which is the hardest part of free style. But you have made this readable without effort. beautiful!!!!

Love this "free verse", but being of a different age, so much of what all of you create is new to me. I hope I will be able to express myself in the way y'all do. So lovely and keep up the beautiful words.

Well you knew that I had to come looking for this one as it was your first "RELEASED" free-verse and all.  Simply poetic perfection my friend in all respects and your format is taken from one of the masters so you had a jump on the perfection at the beginning.  Wonderfully written and now you MUST (PLEASE) share some more with us.  (You did notice that I said please didn't you?)

Martie...Queen of the Free...Heart felt thanks to you...your comment on this one especially means ALOT to me...it's an honor~

i am impressed. i too am a rookie when it comes to writing free verse, but it would seem you've found a groove rather easily.

and the ending on this one...*ho-hum* all women are teases...you are a little heartbreaker aren't ya?

i liked it very much. a stream-of-consciousness flow to it. dig it.
