i. quietude
I am the encroaching silence.
I am the moonshine of your bones.
I am the color of twilight's lover.
I am the shadow of  a mountain's moon.

I am a tree branch in your path
fallen in the windblown night.
I am fear out of the corner of your eye
when you believe everything's all right.

I am the rosepassed scent
of her final breath.
I am the saddest love of all.
I am you. And death.

ii. you inspire
You inspire my darkness to shine.
You inspire me to become beautiful.
You inspire the quietude of my thoughts,
You inspire me to see.
You inspire me.

Wow! that's a story from open beauty to the beauty in the darkness of the soul...love all those fabulous metaphors in the first verse, and the rest too but especially those.... good show! ..Mike...ethome

Mike~
I liked this best:

'I am a tree branch in your path
fallen in the windblown night.
I am fear out of the corner of your eye
when you believe everything's all right'

as always, I enjoy reading you.   -SEA

Thanks, everyone. I'm really exhausted right now, so you'll pardon me if I don't answer every reply individually. But I appreciate you reading.

Mike~
I really have grown into your writing.
I might not reply to them all - but you can
bet your boots, I'm in there reading !
Always something different -
Always a unique perspective.
This one has a quiet hush over it.
Most enjoyable.

This is very different, made me think, read it again and again.

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.
