"Confusion"

My soul is tired, head full of thoughts
This confusion swirls around and around
Heart feels heavy, mind shouting out
Spirit feels broken, lying on ground

Pain has taken it's toll
And painted my soul blue
I am so completely lost
Without the presence of you

Thought I was stronger
Afraid I am not
In a web full of lies
I have been caught

You have to be strong and fight for you
I now see this isn't my fight
Can't do it for you...it's all up to you
If I continue to do so, it wouldn't be right

Heart is weary, body feels cold
Missing you so much, as the wounds bleed
Never knew I could love another so deeply
Didn't know the depth of my own need

Had no idea I needed someone to need me like this
However, you must stand up to her or we will never be free
My eyes are finally open
As heart and head see

*amy's note...i am leaving passions for a while.
i will miss you all very much, but i need some
time away. my words hurt too much to write as
they are a direct reflection of my heart. when
i write, i think, and when i think i feel. and
it seems i've been doing way too much of that
lately. of course i will still be reading all of
the beauiful work that is posted here, but as
for my writing, this here poet is laying her pen
down for a while. love ya all.
