State of constant confusion!

Looking back from the looking glass
I see your angry tears
And I wonder how life has gotten so complicated
I remember a time in your life when you were happy
But that time seems an eternity away
Distant and fuzzy almost like a dream
I remember a quote you once told me
'Welcome to the real world
It may not be a bed of roses but
At least there's an occasional patch of dafodils'
And I hope you can remember that
As you open yet another door

Here in the real word
It's not that easy at all
cause when hearts get broken
it's real tears that fall.

Alan Jackson.

As soon as I read this, that song came immediately to mind.  I felt your bitter tears and your sense of lost for what you would like to have.  There are never any easy answers, my friend.

Hugs,
Marina

"there's an occasional patch of dafodils"

I really enjoyed this piece. The trick is to live for the next little patch of daffodils (sp?). Thanks for sharing.

PS- I fight with my mirror all the time!

Hmmmm ...

I like the power of this one ... it has an honesty that is difficult to ignore.  I sense there is more to this story ... prithee, will there be another chapter...?

Remember: maintaining a positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will certainly annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Marina....Thanks for the hugs...drop me an email some time would ya?

Lovebug...Thanks, I can't remember where I heard that but it makes a lot of sense to me....and sometimes we pass up the dafodils in our search for roses....I never fight with my mirror cos he always repeats what I say

Skyfyre....Thanks, There is most definitely more to the story and I'm sure that soon there will be more to this story...or this poem anyway LOL

Yanno Jeff....my mirror is a real downer....I see the gray where gray wasn't, I see the wrinkles where skin was smooth, I see the me that no one knows...I see a past of sad and woes...I see the man I wish I were, I see the person that's so absurd, I see a person that's usually sad, I see the real pathetic Toerag...So.....how's your day?
