Inside Out
Virginia Salter

I hear songs that remind me
of the day You called my name
Since that time, that time You saved me
I shall never be the same.

Songs that say, Not on the outside
is the change You've made in me,
but within this vessel living
is the One Who set me free.

Inside out, inside out,
He teaches me day after day
To let the world see Him working
As I walk more inside out.

Lord, I pray this day a blessing
will be seen increasingly
As I follow on the pathway
that You’ve made and given me.

A path of love and deep devotion
causing man to praise and shout!
Because he sees You in me living
as I walk more inside out.

Inside out, inside out,
He teaches me, day after day,
To let the world see Him working
As I walk more inside out.

Inside out, inside out,
He teaches me day after day
To let the world see Him working,

(ritard
As I walk more inside out.

The Beliefs
You TreasureHoldLive
Shine Through

In Such You Are
Always Inside
What You Hold

The Song That Is Soul
It Reaches Defiant
Giving It In And Given
Calling All Souls Rise

Uh, thanks, Dream Seeker.  Um did you put the smiley face in my poem?  I haven't learned how to do those yet, so I didn't, that I know of.

ritard is a musical term meaning to go more slowly

I hope people don't get the wrong idea about the word and think it's retard misspelled.

Beki,
Where did you hear it before?  I wrote it in 1990.  I'm really curious.  I entered it in a song contest but nothing ever came of it, to my knowledge.  Did you see it on another poetry site?  Which one?

HI VAS

Christian Artist David Meece released an album in 1993 called Once IN A Lifetime whose first track is titled Inside Out but I am sure it is a coincidence, the lyrics have the same idea but are different.
