I will wish there were times of when
As a child you hurried to dreams
A play of extended pretend
A tear at reality’s seams

Favorite renditions of frailties
Mixed with freedom from earthly bonds
Anything possible dreamt by babes
With the reach to the greater beyonds

A dream of flying offers to soar
Through the clouds of ever release
A dream of dying rocks to the core
But may persuade souls to find peace

Movies don’t wind as dreams will permit
No projector can project so well.
It's sad when a crux is to be bared
There’s a ring of awakening bell?

Walt, I do believe your precocious side is showing, and I like it...

Walt~
I am so enchanted with the poet in you.
You are reaching deep into your talent -
and coming up with polished gems.

You know, you are far more diverse in your skill than you give yourself credit for.  I like this thoughtful, well constructed poem, Walt. Excellent presentation and you leave your reader with a well crafted query. Dreams have long been the stuff of fine poetry. (and not so fine, but we won't go there...lol)

Good writing.
