Angel vs. Evil

Evil roams my halls
Evil keeps me awake at night
Not scared of what Evil will do
But more scared of what I might
Thoughts of Evil
And YOU
Collide in my brain
And tumble out like vengeful words
That I've never said in vain
An angel used to roam our halls
Until Evil swept her away
An angel used to tuck me in at night
But angels never can stay
Yet, Evil still lurks in the corners
Too menacing to ignore
She is around every bend
She is on the other side of your bedroom door
Oh, how I miss the angel
With the soft brown hair
Replaced by the Evil
My angel was dismissed with an affair

** This poem is about a girl that is missing her mother. Her mom left because her dad was having an affair and now the "mistress" lives in their house. **

I liked your poem especially the evil mistress metaphor.  Ah, love, it stays not still, it moves at will, tempted by the evil thrill.

I'd say it's time to do some early spring housecleaning!

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.
