Same words spoken
always to me,
Flowers he will bring
sorry he will be,
Tears nor pain he will not see
I will stand tall with dignity,
Body parts he may bruise and break
My inner strength he can not take,
Saying goodbye, I walk away
Leaving behind sadness and gray,
Eyes open, Brightness I see
Now and forever I can be ME

This is a strong, powerful poem. If it is from personal experience, and you ever need a friend, let me know.

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

Powerful words Shelby, a touching reminder of all thats wrong in the world. Especially on a day when we should all give thanks for what we have. Excellent poem, I hope to read more.

Regards,
Olias.

Irish Rose,
Thank you for your reply, this is not a personal experience. I am very fortunate in the fact that the man in my lfe is the most caring and gentle man i have ever meet. Thank you again and i hope you liked it.

OLIAS,
Thank you for your replay to such a sensative issue,of all the things in this world that are wrong this is one that no one seems to want talk about. I know this isnt anything i will have to worry about with my man.

Go with grace and God, Shelby....

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

inot2B and Sunshine,
Thank you for your reply. This poem does not reflect my personal life but does reflect the families i work with, some of them are not at this place in their lives yet but i can only hope that one day they will be able to see that love and relationships do not have to hurt, and gain strength from that.
