Missing Pages

the one from 1942, the page
was ripped, no "I love you"
to be found, profound
the grief, no relief,
in sigh
Oh God, the fright of
young life
heartbroken wife

fast forward to today
progeny lived on
to a faster day
faster ways but regret
still comes circumspect
and missing pages are
still fast
loathsome acts

a missing page
"you are not here with me"
on the wrong page I see
no longer can I read your mind
old tapes lay
in need of rewind
never mind

go forward one more day
don't find a way to play
but rather see
in new sunrise
the last reprise
of a missing page
now act my age
become sage

wise I would
be understood
missing pages
you won't write
make things
once again tight

once again
back to when
the time was
I loved you
now, no clues in
how to feel ~
life's unreal ~

missing pages
I missed you
when you went dry
left no clue
how things had changed
became rearranged
and for now no soul
in heart
just folks
apart
living as two
me - then - you
but no duo to be
left to see
the missing pages

This is wonderful....I read it twice so I could take it all in what you were saying. Great piece of work, Sunshine!

Sunshine...
I always find myself at a loss for words when I enjoy a piece so wonderful as this one.
May a new page be added, though not to replace the missing page......
Speaking of pages, this one will be "bookmarked" in my library!

Kari, Well, indeed this is another brilliant write from you. Utterly wonderful. Far far better than just wonderfu', but you know that.
Take care

Thank you Tiersdin, for coming in to read {~,^}...

Saunni, two reads?...then I cast upon you two smiles...thank you...

Irie, what a lovely thing to say; I know what it means to be overwhelmed by some brilliant writers here...and I become speechless...those around me love it...

Marsha, you are far, far, too kind...thank you...{~,^}

Well you've done it again today...took my
breath away and brought tears of
understanding to my eyes...I just don't have
the "right" words to convey how this piece
touched me...I wish I did...perhaps when it
doesn't hurt so much to understand it so
well I'll come back to it and try
again...Thank you for sharing your gift of
weave...just know that today you have
touched someone with what you wove~

As I open the book,
I saw some missing pages,
My tears started to fall on the book,
I realise how time went by,
And each page ,
I turned,
I see missing pages,
Liked it,sunshine

Sunshine I think everyone has a few missing pages in their lifetime....a few I know of in my case came right out of the end of the book, where the whole story was beginning to take shape for the conclusion...oh well we just keep on keepin on even though there's a few missing pages.. I love the idea of this and how you brought it to the reader's mind... good stuff!!...ethome......
