Heads huddled downwards~
Beaten by cold pounding rains~
Shivering numbness~
Getting wet feet at puddles~
Yearning for elusive snow

kaile,

Want to trade??  LOL.  It is freezing cold here.  Too cold to snow at the moment I believe, but we already had a dusting earlier this week.  Nice tanka.

You can have our snow, too.  You're going to be snowed in!  Nice tanka.

kaile,
I love this.  Excellent tanka. It makes the reader feel the shiver and coldness of the moment sharply.  Very well done.

Yes, like I guess, this is the December monsoon season in Singapore. It's the Christmas season, and everyone in the northern hemisphere is experiencing snowy white winter. What we have in the equatorial region, is something that is almost as cold as winter, but just sadly, not as white.
